Place an order Β· Substituted service by electronic means

Upload the signed order. We'll do the rest.

Drop in the court's Rule 106(b)(2) order and the documents to be served. We read which channels the judge authorized β€” social media, email, text β€” draft each message for your approval, and pick up any certified mailing or posting the order also requires.

What the order allows

Read from the signed order. We can only use the methods the judge authorized β€” confirm each one and correct any identifier that was read wrong.
The caption is how the case is styled on the documents; the party being served is who the order says to serve (often, but not always, the caption defendant).
Upload the documents above.

Approve the messages

One draft per channel, written from the order and your documents. Edit anything, then approve each one. We send exactly what you approve β€” no more, no less.
Email: the PDFs are attached and a tracked download link is included. Text and social messages carry the tracked download link.

The message states only what the order directs: the authority, the case, the documents, and the certified process server's name and Texas certification number (inserted when it is sent β€” it depends on who is assigned). It deliberately contains no contact information and does not invite a reply.

What we capture as proof β€” email service Email is transmitted through a dedicated, tracked mail service (Postmark) from our service address. For every email we record:
  • Transmission β€” the exact date and time the message was accepted for delivery, and its unique message ID.
  • Delivery β€” the time the recipient's mail server accepted the message, or the bounce if it was refused.
  • Opens β€” each time the message is opened, with time and mail client (a tracking image; some mail apps suppress it, so a missing open is not proof of non-receipt).
  • Document access β€” each click on the tracked document links, with time.
  • Integrity β€” a SHA-256 fingerprint of every PDF as attached, and the full message text as sent.
These are compiled into a Record of Service by Electronic Mail (PDF) attached to your job and delivered with the return. Text and social-media messages are sent by our team by hand with timestamped screenshots of the message as sent.

Mailing & posting

Orders often pair electronic service with a certified mailing or a copy affixed to the door. We read those from the order too β€” confirm the address and we'll handle them in the same job.
